Pokok ini berasal daripada Pulau Jawa. Ia sejenis pokok renek dengan batang yang lemah. Bunganya kecil dan kurang menarik. Bahagian menarik adalah pengasuh bunga yang berwarna putih. Pada setiap kuntum bunga terdapat tiga pengasuh putih.

The plant originated from the Island of Java. It is a weak trailing shrub. The flowers are small and not attractive. The part that is attractive is the white coloured bracts. There are three white bracts to each flower.
