Pokok herba, monokotiledon, rizom, dari kawasan tropikal. Bunganya berwarna kuning, berjambak di hujung pokok. Pokok ini banyak ditanam sebagai pokok hiasan taman. Pokok mati selepas berbunga dan diganti oleh anaknya yang naik dari rizomnya.
This is monocotyledonous herbacious plant, with rhizomes from the tropical regions. Flowers are yellow in colour, in clasters at the top of the plantys. Frequently planted as decorative park and garden plants. The plant dies after flowering and is replaced by young suckers from the rhizomes.
