The Fall 2000 issue of font, its eleventh, marked yet another change in the appearance of the magazine. While evolution has always been a part of the magazine's existence, some font traditionalists were critical of the issue's apparent bias towards artwork over literature.

This was not the case, however, as the editors had little choice but to bolster the relatively small amount of written submissions received that semester with artwork. Conditions were so bad the previous semester that not enough written submissions were even received to put out an issue, pushing back the eleventh issue from its original Spring 2000 release date to a Fall one.
