Thomas Fosbery, youngest son of "Red George" and Elizabeth Christina - née Fosbery - of Kilgobbin and Clorane co. Limerick.

b. 1st May 1820 , m. 25th March 1852 Georgina, daughter of St. George Smith of Pipers Town co. Louth.

Thomas d. 1st April 1893. His wife lived to be 96.

They had issue:- George Ralph
b. 25th September 1854, m. 19th June 1888 Clara Elizabeth - she d. 1904 - daughter of Gerald Urmston Blennerhassett of Riddlesdown Park co. Limerick and dsp. 14th January 1939.

Frank Robert
b. 1st September 1857 m. 22nd November 1894 Rhoda Anne daughter of Surgeon Major General G. L. Hinde C.B.

Mary Elizabeth
m. 19th October 1879 Heffernan John Cantillon Manister House, Croom co. Limerick. He d. 1884.

Catherine Matilda
m. 5th August 1874 John Stewart Handyside of Akitio, Wellington, New Zealand.

Jane Phillipa
m. 1907 Thomas Wise Browning, Carass Court, co. Limerick. He d. 1934. She died April 1960 aged 101 yrs.

Georgina Charlotte
d. unm. April 13th 1903 aged 39.

Thomas Fosbery was Surveyor for the County of Limerick and ( in 1960 ) there is a stone slab on a bridge at Britas near Cappamore, co. Limerick stating that he built the bridge in 1875.

Mrs. Thomas Fosbery was a noted horsewoman and appeared as the only woman mounted in the Reynolds picture of the Grand National Course Meeting.
