| NO MORE HEROES THE STRANGLERS TRIBUTE BAND |
| I was in this band for six years but felt it was time to call it a day after some very good gigs. |
| The original line up for no more heroes was mark bridge (guitar) ash (drums) rob holmes (bass) |
| and sprock (keyboards). This line up evolved from the band THE FLIP TOP HEADS. |
| After around six months of local gigs and one big gig in Glasgow mark bridge left the band. |
| This line up was my favorite one (no disrespect to anyone) this line up released the CD |
| RATS RAVENS AND MEN IN BLACK |
| Also doing loads of fantastic gigs all over the country supporting stiff little fingers and the UK subs. |
| The change was big Dave berridge who took over on guitar and lead vocals. |
| A stranglers fan for years he put the needed finishing touches to the band at that time. |
| memorable gigs with this band was as above but also the chequers in hucknall (notts)my what was then home town. |
| the next event to happen was sprock left the band. |
| this forced line up number three. |
| changes in this line up Andy raben on the keys. |
| although the previous line up was my favorite this line up actually played the best gig of my life |
| when we were picked to play in devon supporting the stranglers not the longest set I have ever played |
| this band also released a live CD (LIVE AND SLEAZY) recorded at the lime light club in crew. |
| sadly as I said after six years with no more heroes and after a move to devon at which I opened a karate class |
| I was finding it hard to be in three places at once and so decided it was time for me to depart from the best |
| band I have ever been a part of. |
| Andy raban ash Neil haywood Dave |
| line up number four..................come on ash hang in there. |
| I wish you all the best and good luck. |
| no more heroes the stranglers tribute band have been in meetings and will be rehearsing soon |
| dave on the guitars and vocals |
| and myself on bass and vocals |
| we are looking for a keyboard player |
