High School Graduation

Marie was born at Enloe General Hospital in Chico, California on April 23, 1953. Her parents moved around a lot so she was exposed to an unpredictable life-style at an early age. Finally things became stable at age 11 when her Aunt and Uncle brought her into their home in Corning, California.

On to College . . . and a Degree!

She grew up in Corning, California and attended Corning schools until starting junior college at Shasta College in Redding, California in 1972. Marie was working as a student secretary in the Agriculture and Natural Resources Department when she met Carl who was a para-professional in the Applied Sciences Division. They were married in December after a short 3-month engagement. Marie and Carl are still married after nearly 29 years. Who said that short-term engagements never work out?
