"By virtue of the updating of the list of names on the basis of the baptismal records and church register, it is hereby certified that Anna Regina Austein, née Square, currently being married to Carl Benjamin Austein, a cooper of Oliva in the ditrict of Danzig, has given birth on 6 March 1838 A.D. to a boy who has received the name Friedrich Richard in holy baptism on 1 April 1838. This certificate was prepared free-of-charge and may be used only for the purpose expressly stated above. It is not valid for any other civil purposes, as declared by the royal government of Danzig in the law passed on 2 May 1821.

To fulfill his military obligations he served aboard ship with the Navy on the expedition to East Asia for 3 years and 5 months, then returned to our emloyment, where he trained in iron construction. He has worked as a foreman in shipbilding with our company since April 1872 and has earned our complete satisfaction.
