The equipment needed to play netball is a ball, a court, and goal posts at each end of the court. Besides this, you also need to have a uniform, good supportive runners and position identification, such as netball bibs.
THE
BALL
The
ball is made of leather and rubber. It weighs 400-450 grams and it measures
from 690-710 millimetres in circumference.
THE
COURT
The
court is 30.5 metres long and 15.25 metres wide. It is divided into thirds.
There is a centre circle with a diametre of 0.9 metre and two goal semi-circles
with a radius of4.9 metres. The lines on the court measure 70 millimetres
in width.
THE
GOAL POSTS
The
goal posts are placed on the base line at the midpoint of the goal semi-circle.
They measure 3.05 metres in height. The rings have a diametre of 380 millimetres.
The ring attaches to the goal post on a single attachment measuring 150
millimetres in length.
