Chronos is a secret organization that plots to take control of the world by populating it with genetically engineered zoanoids. The foundes of Chronos found artifacts from a race known only as "the Creators" who came to earth and manipulated life forms in order to create the perfect biological weapon: one that can adapt, use a variety of weapons, and reproduces at a high rate, in other words, humans. The Creators also designed the Unit-G.
Chronos has branches in every major country in the world. The Japanese branch was a major research center for Zoanoids, but was destroyed by Guyver I and Guyver II.
The other center of Zoanoid research was Relics Point, a subterranean research center left by the Creators below Mount Minakami. Relics Point is where the Hyperzoanoids were created and the Guyver Units were discovered. It is also where Sho's father was transformed into the original Enzyme II.
In their eagerness to retreive the guyver units, Chronos sent all of their best agains the Guyvers, including the 'Lost Numbers', Zoanoids with strange powers that could not be duplicated. The most successful of these was Aptom.
Two men instrumental in Chronos's success are Gyro and Dr. Valkus
Gyro planned on finding a Guyver Unit and using it on himself, a union that would create a being of unparalleled power. Eventually, Dr. Valkus learned of this treachery.
