Half Awake, v!'s email poem
There was no milk in the house
today
ergo no coffee.
It's almost 5 pm and still
I'm only half awake.
(spending afternoons on the water
summer barbecues and after work drinks
sun, sand, surf, and one long, never-ending
masculine hug) I have to make an effort
to get things rolling...
I miss you
filling up the unused space in my house.
Clusters were a nice idea,
but there were just too many of them.
I am silent today, content with images--
a little piece of vacation right here in my study
is much more streamlined... clean... breezy...
I can almost feel the ocean through my computer.
The smell of soap reminds me of your bathroom.
You have the gift of ubiquity
There was no milk in the house today
ergo no coffee.
It's almost 5 pm but still
warm,
quiet,
solid,
I'm only half awake.
