2009 Countdown and Schedule

Tailgate Time Again

It is Buffalo Bills game tailgate time again. Unfortunately there were no group tickets available for large groups once again so I do not have a ticket yet. I will of course be at the opener this year; I have not missed one in eleven years and no reason to do now. Opener tailgate will be once held again at the World Famous (they have heard of it in Australia and Germany) Hammer's Lot for the eleventh consecutive year. Recommend if you want to park in Hammer's Lot reserve a spot. Hammer has a vicious guard dog named "Buddy" who patrols the lot watching out for your car!

Congratulations to Ralph Wilson and Bruce Smith

Bruce Smith of course was a 1st round lock.  For Ralph Wilson after owning the Bills and being a founder of the AFL, the Pro Hall of Fame voters finally recognized his contribution to the game.  It was however very appropriate time considering it was the 50th Anniversary of the founding of AFL.

Future Game Plans

I will be at Home Opener vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (week 2) and Cleveland Browns (week 5) games. 
Other games attending are up in the air.

2009 Bills Draft

The Bills did some trading of picks (included trading of malcontent, often injured, LT Jason Peters) and moved up in draft.  They used the picks to restock the offense line as well get some additional talent and depth.   There is a sign the Bills may have drafted another malcontent, Aaron Maybin from Penn State.  The one year starter at Penn State delayed signing contract after all first round picks other than 2 missing all of training camp.

Yahoo! says paid sites only

For years I have kept a backup of this site on Tripod - it gave access to site when Cox was not available. Yahoo! (who has created a partnership with Microsoft) decided to stop allowing Tripod free sites to promote their own paid sites so that site is being closed down. The backup site will be on Google now and its URL is https://sites.google.com/site/northernvirginiabillsbackers.

Since Google allows a far greater amount of storage than Cox I will keep more material on Google than on main site. Please bookmark both sites since the two sites will differ in contents and I may be cancelling Cox site with ever increasing costs of Cox Cable despite deceptive advertising.

New Tool bar Available

I built a tool bar seen above below the header which you can install into your Firefox browser (or even IE if you have to use it) which provides ø Google-Powered Search Box, ø Privacy Controls. ø Miscellaneous useful gadgets and ø Links to Bills, NFL and Fan sites and ø E-mail notifier.  Forty-five users (so far) can be wrong but I do not think so!
