Per the Cartophilic Info Exchange blog on Thursday, March 17, 2022:
"After six years, Topps National Baseball Card Day gives way to Topps International Trading Card Day for 2022. The event has expanded to include UEFA Champions League, Star Wars and Garbage Pail Kids, with the event kicking off on Saturday, 6 August, 2022. The 2021 exclusive set featured 30 cards and a selection of autograph cards. My guess would be cards from the new UEFA Champions League with a special Topps International Trading Card Day logo, as seen with the Lionel Messi card that was previewed recently at the 2022 Topps Industry Summit." — Alan Jenkins

Per mock-up cards, early 2022, the Garbage Pail Kids card has the temporary nomenclature of 'GPK Magname' which was eventually be replaced by the traditional 'ADAM Bomb' twin name. This mock-up moniker is usually seen on sports trading cards as 'Player Magname' as seen within the image above. As noted by the Cardboard Connection, and verified within the mock-up photo, "Star Wars packs were initially included in the lineup, but it seems that these were removed from the promotion."

The Cardboard Connection also notes, "While MLB cards remain part of the 2022 Topps International Trading Card Day lineup, baseball is not the only choice. For the first time, the Hobby shop promotion gives collectors the option to pick between different packs. By visiting a participating card shop on August 6, fans can pick one free pack from the three versions, as supplies last. Each Topps International Trading Card Day box contains 30 MLB packs, 13 UEFA packs and seven GPK packs. [50 packs per box, 5 cards per pack]" ... "There are also 2022 Topps International Trading Card Day purchase incentives earned by buying Topps products at the shop. The requirement is a $10+ purchase. Shohei Ohtani is the featured incentive card on International Trading Card Day (August 6), while the Wander Franco incentive is available the following weekend (August 13)." — Trey Treutel

Fifteen 1985 OS1 card characters, by artist John Pound, and fifteen 2022S1 Book Worms card characters, by various artists, were used within the 2022 International Trading Card Day ("ITCD") set. The same fifteen bookworm images were also used for artist autograph cards (#/100) within the special event release.

In tandem with Topps’ International Trading Card Day Aug. 6, global retailer, Lids, has announced a new retail distribution partnership with the card company. Lids will now sell Topps’ various trading card products in select Lids retail stores throughout the U.S. “Topps is thrilled to partner with Lids for the first International Trading Card Day,” says Wendy Freedman, marketing director, Topps. “It’s a great way celebrate the hobby and also introduce new fans to collecting.”
Collectors can now visit participating Lids stores to shop for their choice of a pack of MLB, UEFA Champions League, Star Wars and Garbage Pail Kids cards. Topps ran a sponsered video advert on social channels prior to the August 5th release. Collector friend 'Packy' mentioned, "The mother offers her broccoli and she pouts, so she gives her some GPK to make her happy." NOTE: the trading cards and packs within the mini commercial are all Chrome OS5 cards. Five new pieces of artwork were created, a trading-card themed subset, including the one pictured above and below, ten 1985 OS2 card characters, all mainly John Pound tribute pieces & one pulled from a future (not yet announced) GPK set, and fifteen 2023S1 GPK Go On Vacation card characters, by various artists, were used within the 2023 International Trading Card Day ("ITCD") set. The same fifteen 'Vacation' images were also used for artist autograph cards (#/10) within the special event release. NOTE: like with the first release, the character images are really zoomed-in on.

Artist DAVID Gross has posted a previous concept for his one of his new artwork pieces for the set prior to the release, and after the released mentioned, "I wanted the card to look like a damaged card so here's a pic of what I wanted it to appear as. I scraped the paper, drew on it in pen and damaged the actual painting to get the look." It's a hard concept to get across when the player themselves is 'downgraded' looking; it's the card, not the player that's getting graded for PSA, plus, Topps has zoomed in on every character for the release.

"2024 Topps Trading Card Day celebrates the hobby and collectors with a day of free cards plus other events. While recent iterations of the promotion were known as International Trading Card Day, the initial info for 2024 does not feature this extended title." Release information: "2024 Topps Trading Card Day Set Details. The main lineup for 2024 Topps Trading Card Day includes Baseball, Bowman University Basketball and Garbage Pail Kids cards. Collectors can grab a free pack at their local participating shop, as supplies last. Exclusive incentives are earned by making Topps purchases of $10 or more. The Elly De La Cruz card is available on August 3 and the Shohei Ohtani (Dodgers) card arrives on August 10. Estimated Release Date: August 3, 2024. 2024 Topps Trading Card Day Product Configuration: TBA. 2024 Topps Trading Card Day Checklist: The full checklist will be added once it is issued by the manufacturer. Incentives Checklist: 2 cards — August 3 for Elly De La Cruz - Cincinnati Reds & August 10 for Shohei Ohtani - Los Angeles Dodgers."

Previously known as the Topps National Baseball Card Day, from 2016—2021, and catering only to the MLB®, the special giveaway day became the Topps International Trading Card Day ("ITCD") in 2022, by introducing UEFA Champions League® and their own Garbage Pail Kids® IP to the lineup, and then adding Formula 1®, Athletes Unlimited®, and Bowman U Football cards to the mix for 2023. As of 2024, for the tertiary release, the title has been truncated to just 'Trading Card Day ("TCD") and mock-up images also show this same change.

NOTE: There were five cards per clear celophane pack. The set contained only 15 cards, instead of 30, and no signed autographs this go round. Card numbers, on back, had the acronyn 'NTCD-GP#', for National Trading Card Day - Garbage Pail (Kids). Per nameplate, the words 'BIKIN'' and 'MONO-', should be smaller in size for cards GP11 and GP13, respectively, compared to the forename. Per checklist, characters were taken from the main set and the Game Over!, Let's Get Phyisical, and Bored...Games subsets.
