RELEASE PERIOD : AUGUST 2004

The All-New Series 1 (ANS1) GPK with the catchphrase 'Gross Sticker Cards' were published in the late summer of 2004 by the Topps Europe Ltd company and distributed by Merlin Stickers. A total of one print run was released during a resurrection of the 80's GPK nostalgia period in the U.S. with new releases that started in August of 2003. The UK GPK set is comprised of thirty-seven images from the U.S. ANS1 set and eleven images from the U.S. ANS2 set without any A-name and B-name twin cards. The set also contains ten foil cards from the U.S. ANS1 set. Each paper pack contains 4 stickers, 1 foil card and a slip of paper with a binder offer. Instead of the old cigarette card-size of earlier UK releases, often referred to as 'mini', the set contains cards roughly the same size as the U.S. release measuring 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The UK foil cards are much brighter and printed on a heavier card stock than the U.S. release. The same images and layout were used for the three Scandinavia sets released in four different locations; the Sweden & Denmark release (same language used), the Finland release, and the Norway release.

— The set contains three Scratch 'n Stink chase cards from the U.S. ANS2 set placed within the release as regular cards without the 'SnS' feature. All three images have slightly different variations from the original cards; the same incident occurs in the ANS1 Sweden/Denmark, Finland, and Norway releases as well since they're a reproduction of the UK release. — As with prevous UK releases, the set has the PEEL HERE Arrow pointing towards the edge of the card where the entire face of the card is the sticker whereas in the U.S. cards are die cut stickers.

— The set contains a Three-Part Checklist: 1/3 containing the names for the Foil cards, 2/3 containing the names for the first 24 cards (numbering 1-24) and 3/3 containing the names for the last 24 cards (numbering 25-48).



— The Puzzles have no white outline border as with the U.S. puzzles from the ANS1 release; the five puzzles have a solid coloured border instead. Additionally, the Foil card backs contain the 'Completed Puzzle' pictures.

— Sequentially speaking, the first nine cards of the set consists of the first puzzle, the next nine cards are the second puzzle, and so on through card #45, which make up all five of the completed Puzzles & the last three cards in the set are the three Checklists.

— Along with the UK release, The Scandinavia sets were released in four different countries; a Sweden & Denmark release, a Finland release, and a Norway release. [NO, FI, SE/DE + UK images]



— The UK and Scandinavia releases consists of Artwork pulled from the U.S. ANS1 and ANS2 sets, combined; forty-seven images from the ANS1 set and eleven images from the ANS2 set.

— Paper Wrappers are used instead of the plastic or cellophane wrappers of years past. No packaging code is located on the packs or boxes.
