RELEASE PERIOD : MAY 2019

The Marveless Kids Series 1 set was released during the first half of 2019, on May 6th, around the time of the spring Philly Non-Sport Card show. The entire set was created by artist Mark Pingitore who sketched and painted all forty-five characters to create a ninety, twin-card parody release poking fun at the MARVEL Universe. The creative logo is a play on the words 'Marvel', 'marvelous' and the similar-sounding 'less' determiner. The set, containing one asterisk (* © 2019 MARK PINGITORE - MAGIC MARKER ART, LLC), was posted to his Magic Marker Art website for $75 a box, along with pack options and a set binder; that followed on 05/20/2019. The 'PEEL HERE' stickers have an ingenious comic book speech-balloon die cut and are printed on a card stock reminiscent of sets of old. Pingitore's titles and products are wonderfully influenced by the 80's nostalgic toy and cartoon era and are often a fond tribute to the Garbage Pail Kids trading cards.

def'n: Marvel — to be filled with wonder or astonishment.
def'n: Marvelous — causing great wonder; extraordinary.
def'n: -less — to a smaller extent; not as much.

10. A MARVELESS Kids Collector Album binder image tease was posted to social media on March 25, 2019 and later advertised and posted to the Magic Marker Art website for sale on May 20, 2019, two weeks after the official MARVELESS Kids release date on May 6, 2019 — to be sold separately due to size and weight. The album binder was physically availabe at the Philly Non-Sport card show the weekend of May 4 and May 5, 2019; as well as picking up any pre-ordered boxes. Features: 1 Inch D-Ring Binder • Padded front and back • Full color direct to vinyl print • Black interior with two pockets.

11. Mark's appreciation for parody and Garbage Pail Kids can be seen on his Magic Marker Art's website in the form of his personal Mascot, a self-caricature modeled after OS2 cards 74a MARK Bark and 74b Kennel KENNY painted by John Pound. Pingitore's personal character was previously biting down on a No.2 pencil instead of a dog bone, but has been fittingly changed to a magic marker. Pingitore's mascot caricature can also be located on the award card backs within the ribbon artwork.

12. The red-boxed MARVELESS (Kids) Logo with white lettering is a parody of the red-boxed MARVEL Comics logo with white lettering poking fun at the extended word 'Marvelous' being spelled as 'Marvel-less'. A comic book speech balloon is used for the sticker die cut and the release advertising was set up with a comic-book layout.
