Chinese New Year Superstitions

In Chinese New Year, there are things that are not supposed to do. Here are a list of them:

1. Don't sweep your floor! Why? You will sweep away all the good luck and wealth out of the house

2. No Bad Language or talk of death! Why? You don't want them to happen to you, do you?

3. Don't go visit anyone on the 3rd day of new year! Why? We call the 3rd day "red mouth", arguments are easy to happen.

4. Don't use any stone made product on day 10! Why? Because day 10 is the birthday of stones, they don't like you to move them on their birthday.

5. Don't splash the water out of the door! Why? Water symbolizes money.

6. Be the first one to place the incense in the temple in new year to gain good luck.
