Lake Katherine's Winterfest 1999

How the Bear Lost His Tail "The Fox told Bear, 'You just stick your tail in this hole in the ice.  You wiggle it around ... I bet you catch a hundred fish!

"'What's the matter?  You scared?  You don't think you can do it?'"

I can do anything! "'I can do it!,' Bear cried.  He could do anything; he was Bear, afterall.  And anything Fox could do, Bear could do."

"'I-it's c-c-cold!, F-f-ffox!  I c-can-can't feel m-my t-t-tail!'"

Who's wish is this anyway?, asks the fish.

There is an old Chinese tale about a fisherman and a magic fish, and the fisherman's wife who makes a wish ... and makes a wish ... and makes a wish ... .
