THE MOUSE THAT FARTED
Once upon a time there was a lovely little mouse called Samantha.
She was very pretty and had the loveliest ears and the prettiest nose of all the girl mice.
But she had a problem.
She farted.
And it smelt terrible.
All of her friends used to hold their noses, and roll on the floor with their four legs and their tails up in the air. While she stood there feeling very silly.
One day, while all the girl mice were making fun of her, a big nasty cat snuck up behind her. The other mice were so scared that they did not know what to do. They just stood and stared. But Samantha didn't even know that he was there.
He snuck closer and closer.
His tail was wiggling, and his whiskers twitched.
He opened his mouth wide, and everyone except poor Samantha could see his long shiny teeth.
Just as he was about to bite, Samantha farted.
FaaaaarrrRRRTTTTTTTTT..
It was the worst, and smelliest she had ever done.
The big nasty cat stopped.
His eyes began to water.
His tail went boinnGGG!!! Straight up in the air.
His whiskers went droopy, and his nose started to run.
Then he went
Meeeeooooowwwwww,
and turned and ran away as fast as he could.
All the mice cheered.
They held Samantha up in the air, and carried her home.
She was a hero, and her mother was so proud of her.
She was so proud of herself that she didn't even notice that she had stopped farting for good.
And she never did again.
