Crusty Sourdough Bread

1C sourdough Starter
1/2 C Water
3 C Bread Flour
2 T Sugar
1 1/2 t. Salt
1 t Bread Machine Yeast

Prepare sourdough starter at least 1 week before making bread.  Stir cold starter, measure colde startar, and let stand at room temperature (starter will expand as it warms up).
Measure carefully, placing all ingredients in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufactures.  Select Basic/White cycle.  Use Medium or Light crsut color.  Do not use Delay cycle.  Use 1 1/2 pound loaf size Remove baked bread from pan, cool on wire rack.
 
 

  •   Easy Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls

    2/3 C Water
    2 T White Vinegar
    3 C Bread Flour
    1/2 C Sour Cream
    1/4 C Sugar
    1 T Salt
    2 1/4 T Bread Maching Yeast

    Filling Recipe -- below
      2 T Margarine Or Butter -- softened
     Vanilla Glaze -- below

    Measure carefully, placing all ingredients excpet filling, margarine and vanilla glaze in machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
    Select Dough/Manual cycle. Do not use Delay cycle.
    Grease square pan, 9x9x2 inches. Prepare filling. Remove dough from pan, using lightly floured hands. Flatten dough into 9-inch square on lightly floured surface. Spread margarine over dough; sprinkle with filling. Roll dough up tightly. Pinch edge of dough into roll to seal. Cut roll into 1 inch slices. Place in pan. Cover and let rise in warm place 30 to 45 minutes or until double. (Dough is ready if indentation remains when touched).
    Heat oven to 375. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan to wire rack. Drizzle vanilla glaze over warm rolls. Serve warm.

    Filling: Mix 1/4 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
    Vanilla Glaze: Mix 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 3 to 4
    teaspoons milk until smooth and thin enough to drizzle.
     
     






     Easy Sourdough Corn Bread

    3/4 C Water
    2 T  White Vinegar
    2 1/3 C Bread Flour
    2/3C Cornmeal
    1/2 C Sour Cream
    2 T Sugar
    1 1/2 t Salt
    2 1/2 t  Bread Machine Yeast

    Use 1 1/2 pound bread machine cycle.
    Measure carefully, placing all ingredients in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select basic/white cycle. Use medium or light crust color. Do not use delay cycle. Remove baked bread from pan; cool on wire rack.






    Homemade Wheat Bread Machine Mix

      1 Bag  (5 Pounds) Whole Wheat Flour
      1 Bag  (5 Pounds) Bread Flour
      1 3/4 Cups  Dry Milk
      1 1/4 Cups  Sugar
      4 1/2 Tablespoons  Salt

    Mix all ingredients in extra-large bowl until well blended. Store tightly covered in bulk, or measure into quantities for 1 1/2 pound or 2 pound loaf recipes.  Package in fancy jars or bags along with the bread recipe for giving.  To make the 1 1/2 pound loaf, measure 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons water, 2 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened 3 1/2 cups homemade bread machine mix and 1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast into bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select basic/white or whole wheat cyccle and medium or light crust color. Remove baked bread from pan; cool on wire rack.  To make 2 pound loaf, measure 1 1/2 cups water, 3 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened, 4 1/2 cups homemade bread machine mix and 1 1/4 teaspoons bread machine yeast into bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select basic/white or whole wheat cycle and medium or light crust color. Remove baked bread from pan; cool on wire rack.
