Jamie Bell was born on March 14, 1986, and is from Billingham,

England.  He has been dancing since he was 6 years old. 

He got the "dancing bug" when he followed his older sister to

her dancing lessons and decided he's just gotta dance!  At 13

years old Jamie was discovered after a talent search of over

2,000 children, and chosen to play the lead role in the critically

acclaimed movie "Billy Elliot" (2000).  Having to take some

share of ribbing from his friends for being a boy ballet dancer,

Jamie can now proudly strut his stuff.  His face that "turns

joyous when he dances", his good looks, and wonderfully flowing

dance have surely attracted the attention of the film industry. 

Jamie has had guest-starring roles in the TV series "Just Deal",

 and the ITV drama "Close and True".
