So your wondering what Static-X is huh? Well, that's what I was wondering when I went to the Ozzfest website. I was going through the pictures of Ozzfest and I came across a picture with a guy with hair standing up about 6 to 8 inches straight up on his head. I was like, "cool, who is this guy and how does his hair stand up like that?" Well, one of my questions were answered, this guy was Wayne Static, lead singer of a heavy metal band called Static-X. I never heard of them so I went to CDNOW to listen to some song samples of them. They sounded so good. But I hesitated to buy the cd. So I went to UBL.com, which is short for the Ultimate Band List and the name says it all and I searched for Static-X and came across some nifty little web sites dedicated to Static-X. So I went to a web site of theirs and read about the band and so good so far. I decided to get the cd.

Facts about Static-X

So where did the title Wisconsin Death Trap come from? "The title comes from a book I found at a flea market 15 years ago," says lead singer Wayne Static, "It is a collection of turn-of-the-century photographs and news articles detailing life in a small Wisconsin town. There were pictures of babies in coffins, reports from mental hospitals, details of murder scenes ... all very haunting. It made a huge impression on me."
Hair Facts:The lead singer's longest hairs in his body are his chin hairs. Check out the picture above. But I don't know the height of his hair.
Appearances:Static-X appeared at Ozzfest '99, and have played at many shows in L.A. (which I wouldn't know about cuz I don't live there.)
