"Ma's Lemon Icebox Pie Recipe"




Preheat oven to 425°F.

In a large bowl open can of condensed milk. Pour into bowl add the egg yolk, lemon juice. Taste to see if tart enough. If not add a little more juice at a time. Mix well with a spoon. Set aside. Put egg whites into a bowl and beat egg whites, add tarter and add sugar slowly until stiff peaks, and satiny. Add the lemon mixture into pie shell. Spreading it until it touches the edges of shell. Spread the meringue onto lemon mixture spreading until it touches the edges. Bake in a pre heated 425° oven for 5 to 7 min. Take out of oven and let stand for 5 min then put into refrigerator for up to 2 hours to let firm up. Serve Cold.
