"Ma's Cornbread Recipe"




Preheat oven to 375°F. 20 min before loaves are ready

Scald the milk(scald=heat milk just before boiling)stir in the sugar,salt,butter. Cook until lukewarm. Measure the warm water into a large bowl. Sprinkle or crumble in the yeast stir until disolved. Stir into the lukewarm milk mixture beaten eggs,flour,cornmeal. Beat until well blended about 2 min. The batter will be stiff. Turn into 2 greased 8" round cake pans or 2 greased loaf pans. Cover & let rise in a warm place free from draft until doubled in bulk about 1 hour. Bake at 375°F. for 30-35 min. Enjoy!
