Di Gi Charat ,drawn by Kage Donbo, started as a mascot for Broccoli, the makers of card sets, games, and anime merchandise in 1998. As a mascot for their line of Gamer's stores, Digital Characters and Gamers was shortened into Di Gi Charat and Gemma. People loved the new mascots and merchandise with their likenesses sold very well. Soon Enough they were in the commercials for Gamer's stores and even had thier own music CD's. In 1999 they were given they're own short television series. Each of the 16 original episodes were only about 4-5 minute long.
Overall Grade - 92% A (even though the episodes are more like shorts it still fun to watch)
