It was first invented in 1859 in Brooklyn New York by a young chemist called Robert Chesebrough. It was originally used for removing stains from furniture, polishing wood surfaces, restoring leather and preventing rust. The inventor also recommended a spoon everyday for good health, he himself ate it and died at 96. Now its used for something else. What?
