The patrol's commander is in his early 40s. He's married to (and separated from) Gail, with whom he has two children: Rick and Erin.
He's ruthlessly ambitious and always frets that Helen Blakemore might be fast-tracked past him. They both applied for the job as Chief Inspector after Clarke Webb.
He's not too keen on Frank Holloway, always looking for new ways of controlling his rebellious streak.
