Janurary 2002 News
14th Janurary:

Wrote many essays which are now up in the about metal section. Read these; I think you'll be interested. Read them right through before you decide on anything though.

13th Janurary:

We recently scored an exclusive spot on Mp3.com's new artist pages. This will be the new host for our new demo "Outsider". This page at Mp3.com should be up by the time you read this, but if it isn't, it shouldn't be very far away.

Declaration of independence was never finished, due to the band reviewing the track, and in fact all tracks on their debut album.
A few essays have been added in the about metal section explaining various things about metal, and black metal in particular. More essays will be added soon.
The lyrics for our new song, Lament for the Loss of Love have been added to the lyrics page, right at the bottom. I told you I would be showing different emotions - well this is different.
The response to the Outsider demo has been extremely positive, but far from resting on our laurels, we have decided to hit the studio to record a new, higher quality version of Outsider, with improved bass, more variety in the drums, and clearer vocals. Because of the purchasing of some new gear, the guitars should sound a hell of a lot better too.

5th Janurary:

Okay. Sorry Outsider wasn't uploaded last night. This was because it isn't copyrighted, and you can never trust people nowadays. It should be up in a few days.
In brighter news, the music for Reflections on Sanity was written today by Maleik. This song is definitely heavier\thrasier than Outsider which is very black metalish. It will be recorded sometime in the next few weeks. Lament for the Loss of Love entered the final writing\early recording stage today and should hopefully be up in 2 weeks. As I'm back off to school soon, the intervals between songs being recorded will lengthen, I'm afraid. This new song has a mellow edge to it at times, and will be the first example of my new found clean singing ability - something we have never had in our music and something that is definitely needed.
Maleik bought a new distortion pedal - the DOD Death Metal distortion, and this has been added to the equipment list. Hopefully the new recordings will be far better quality, as I am hopeful of getting my hands on a better microphone.

4th Janurary:

Added lead guitar part to Outsider. Outsider should be uploaded tonight. Taleim and Maleik are hard at working writing and recording the other songs from Greymure's first album - Nocturnal Cries from a World Torn Asunder (due May 2002). Declaration of Independence should be finished in a few days time.

3rd Janurary:

Nearly finished mixing Outsider demo. This is the new version, and will possibly be the same as the album version, except I hope to use a proper choir, orchestra, and organ for the final version. Anyway this will be up in the sound section in a few days time.

1st Janurary:

Happy new year! Hope everyone had a great time last night, especially all you metal heads out there. Rock on! Greymure hopes to perform next new year, as the music this year was appalling! Let's make this "The year of the Wolf", where metal and Greymure emerge as dominant and pop is crushed. Well that isn't probably going to happen this year, but we can only hope! Support our anti pop campaign, and send us your e-mails of support. You can make a difference - refuse to buy or listen to pop and burn any CDs you see! Refuse to be in the same room as it, as it is the evil music of today (well gay is evil, right, and pop is gay, so there you go).
