Making materials is sooooo much fun! This first one is a variation I made from the Bryce preset Mossy Rocks. The DTE isn't scary at all - it's just fun to fiddle with.
Here's the exact same scene with a new terrain texture applied. Another one that I varied. I have no idea what all I did, but I like the result.
Again the same scene, but resized a bit and the terrains copied into the background. Yeah, I know - the horizon shouldn't be dead center. However, rules are made to be broken. (grin) I wanted to capture the lovely reflection on this.
I did a water slab here and love the effect you can get. The water looks shallow enough to see the bottom.
I redid this one, as I wasn't happy with the sky in the original. While I liked the lighting effects the sky gave, I throught the sky itself was so so. Editing it just made things worse, so I moved the horizon up to get rid of it entirely in the grahic. Then I eroded the terrain and fiddled with the texture some more. I like this much better!
