Bryce for Beginners

Week 6: The Last Lesson

Problem Render

I was going to add a figure to my ship from last week, but ran into problems getting him into Bryce. Instead, I decided to play around with positioning and lighting in Daz Studio, some things I hadn't tried before. What a difference just these two things can make.

I attempted a 40ish guy, since I had done young 'uns last week. Notice how this guy makes a great hero - defending something or other.

Now, I moved him over a bit and changed the lighting. Well, his hat, too. Everything else is the same. He's now a villainous pirate. And he's coming this way! Run for your life!

Well, the bones in the background may have helped, too. (grin) That background is "Dangerous Corner of the Dungeon," that I picked up during the Bryce Madness sale at Daz.

Here are a couple of examples of the weirdness I was seeing *after* rendering in Bryce and then Daz Studio. I had to do a screen capture to get the images above.

Puppy Tree

Back into the Tree Lab to use our own pictures as leaves. That's my English Cocker Spaniel, Murphy. She loves starring in my work!

Symlat Wall

Britt taught us a very cool way to use 2D clip art and make it into a 3D object. You can even see through the wall!

Thanks for a great class, Britt. I really have enjoyed it.
