We learned lots on color theory and then made paint chips that can be used to co-ordinate a design.
Here's a screen shot showing the photo that I started with. Below it is the first paint chip that I created by
"eye droppering" a color from the grass and then lightening and darkening it. Below that is a manual color change
using the cat's eye as the target color. The bottom one is taken from the cat's fur.

I decided to go with the green. I "greened" up the cork board background, recolored the ribbon, made some tags, and then assembled the whole thing. I also snuck in another kaleidoscope I made from the photo.
