Our Trip to Newport, Oregon

We drove up to visit our friends Scott and Julie for Thanksgiving, 2001. It turned out to be quite an adventure!

	This is the road, while it was still sunny. That would change. Drastically.
	Here's Frank, skillfully guiding us down I5. The weather continued to worsen, while we drove. Eventually we had to stop near Mt. Shasta, as the visibility was about zero even on the freeway due to the heavy rain.
	Looking out the back of our hotel on the beach in Newport. Our room wasn't ready, so I had to change clothes in the hotel bathroom. (grin) We then joined Scot and Julie along with Dennis, Laurie and their girls Lindsey and Brooke for a terrific Thanksgiving dinner.

	Scot drove us around the area and pointed out all the sights, including the harbor.
