On the last image I selected out the flowers and deleted the background. I then added a colored layer underneath it.

The second and third are by the lesson. On the first one I selected my flower area, then added a hue/saturation layer for the selection. I changed the color from pink to blue.

This is a pretty cool method, as you create our own gradient and have more control.
|
This was the most complicated method, but really gives great results, as you split the image into its color channels - red,
green, and blue.
|
This was done using filters on different color channels. I forget now just which filters I added, but
did different ones to all 3 channels. In the end I didn't like the one on the red channel, so I only used the green and
blue.

I went blue here and added an edge effect.

I made a color photo into a grayscale image. Then I hand tinted parts of it with color. I veered from the lesson a bit, as I liked the image with just the flowers colorized. After I first posted this to the web, I decided the colors were too strong. I simply changed the opacity of the yellow and pink layers. So easy!
