This is a book discussing the interlude plays of the Tudor era.  My impression is that the author believes the interlude play was a uniquely Tudor style of drama requiring little or nothing in the way of staging and props and a very small company of actors.  He states the popularity of these types of plays was replaced when the new theater style of playhouses began to blossom.  This book includes 10 full or partial plays of the time as well as listing several other titles of plays.
