The Crimes of Gundam Wing

Ever heard of the Charter of the International Military Tribunal at Nurenburg?  The Gundam Pilots obviously haven’t.  Here are the possible charges which the G-Boys should face at the end of the series.

Charge #1:

The Gundam’s assault on the White Fang, an army of the colonies, was a breach of their assurances that they would defend the colonies.  Wu Fei starts the attacks when he kills White Fang members even though no declaration of war exists. This is a Crime Against Peace.  Punishment? They can probably weasel their way around this one saying they knew in advance that White Fang wasn’t a true representation of the colonies.

Charge #2:

This goes to Wu Fei, who murders unarmed sleeping cadets at the Lake Victoria Base.    Sounds too much like the Oct. 23, 1983 terrorist attack on the Marine barracks in Lebanon.  This is an act of terrorism and a War Crime.  Wu Fei could be facing the death penalty, but being a minor he will be given a life sentence.

Charge #3:

Ahh Quatre! Perhaps he can plead temporary insanity for the destruction of a resource satellite and a colony.  But it is still devastation not justified by military necessity.  Well a War Crimes charge for Quatre, but wait why stop there?  The destruction of so much private property and the forced evacuation and migration of the populace can be considered inhumane.  Which brings us to a Crimes Against Humanity charge for Quatre!!  One count of War Crimes and one count of Crimes Against Humanity will assure Quatre his very own padded cell in which he can scream as loud as he wants for the rest of his life.

Charge #4:

Trowa is fighting Agato on the South Pole.  Trowa disables Agato’s mobile suit and the crazed Romafeller Operative is unable to fight.  Does Trowa put away his weapon  because the fighting ability of Agato is gone? Hell no!  He does a quadruple lutz that would make Michael Kwan envious, cause he’s just that fruity, and slashes Agato’s helpless mobile suit until it’s dead.  Sounds like a good ole’ classic charge of murder.  Trowa’s punishment is to be a clown at kids birthday parties for the rest of eternity.

Charge #5:

Good ole’ Grand Theft Auto.  Remember that Ambulance way back in episode 1 that Heero stole? Well its gonna come back to haunt him.  Also the fact that he assaulted four people to take the thing.  There is probably also in AC 195 a charge of Grand Theft Mobile Suit, of which all of the G-Boys would be guilty.  Sentencing should be at least 18 months in jail for Heero.

Charge #6:

Nine counts of Attempted Murder await Heero at the end of his victory.  Let’s see there are two attempts at Relena’s life, one on Duo and then the five scientists.  The simple fact that the “perfect soldier” failed at killing unarmed targets may be punishment enough.

Charge #7:

Ummmmm has anyone forgotten the little incident where Heero killed off the entire Earth Alliance’s Government?  Great, the one time he actually succeeds in an assassination, he kills the wrong people.  He then stalks the relatives of the people he killed, and asks them to kill him.  I have no clue as to the exact number of passengers on the plane at the time but we can rest assured it was probably over fifty dead, not including the flight staff.  Punishment:  Fry him, extra crispy with BBQ sauce.  People make mistakes but should have the decency to take responsibility in the eyes of the law.

Take a bite outta crime. ..
