This is a pure northern Red Wolf.  This is the wolf the early American colonists encountered in New England.  The amber eyes confirm there is no dog nor Coyote parentage.  This is the descendant of the race of wolves that did not cross into Siberia, then return. They were driven out of their original northern Boreal forest home by the returning larger Grey Wolves. Now, they are reclaiming their previous range through interbreeding with the wily Coyote, and have spread throughout eastern Canada as "Brush wolves".
