Zac’s suprise was going to sweep Kari off her feet. Zac had picked her up a little before 6:30. They went out to dinner and had been now driving, for a good 15 minutes. To where, Kari had NO idea... The road they were on she had never seen before. It was defiantly a back road.
“Zac, where are we going?!” Kari wined for what seemed like the
millionth time.
“You’ll see.” Zac responded with the same answer. A smile forming on
his lips pissed her off even more. He thought it was so funny how
impatient Kari was. He love that about her. She was always wanting to know where, how, why, and when.
“Zaaacc!” Kari cried out, hitting his arm then leaning back against her seat and looking out the window at the trees flying by the window..
“Ugh!” She sighed.
It was about 8:30 and dusk was now completely setting in. The sunset
was in just right. Everything was perfect. Just how Zac wanted it.
Finally the car pulled into a small drive off to the side of the dirt road and he shut off the car.
“Here we are.” Zac hoping out of the car. He half walked half jogged to the other side and open Kari’s door.
“Where are we??” She asked, once again half expecting an answer this
time.
“Come on, I need to show you something. Zac grabbed Kari’s hand and intertwined their fingers. Kari had butterflies in her stomach. Why?...
she didn’t know nor care. She just wanted to be with Zac tonight more
then anything.
They both walked down a small path through the woods. Zac leading.
Holding back any tree branches or bushes that would be in Kari’s way.
Just when it looked like the path was going deeper into the forest a
huge opening was set before them.
Kari looked up and took in a huge breath. It was the most
beautiful thing she had ever seen! They were on top of a hill over
looking the country side. Tulsa was in the far distance. Kari didn’t notice how far they had actually driven until now.
“Ohmigod Zac..” She said in awe. “It’s... It’s beautiful!.” She held her hand to her chest.
“I thought you’d like it.” Zac said smiling. His eyes sparkled from the light of the last inch of sunset. The sky shot out bright pinks, purples, and blues. Kari had never seen anything so beautiful.
“There’s more.” Zac said, leading Kari with her small hand that still
held in his.
They walked over a small grassy area where a blanket was spread out.
“What’s this?” Kari said.
“I thought a night watching the sunset and stars would be kewl.” Zac said tilting his head the other way and as if shy about the whole idea.
“Zac.. It’s beautiful.” She grabbed his hands and held them both. The two stood for a moment just looking at each other. “Thank you so much.” Kari brought him into a small hug. When she went to pull away Zac held her to him. She just smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. Kari loved the fragrance Zac had to him. His hair, his clothes, his car...they all had that same smell. Like a mixture of Tommy and just.. him. The feelings they both had for each other were obvious. And
now, finally they will show just how strong they are.

“Kar.. will you dance with me?” Zac asked pulling slightly away. Just enough to look at her.
“I’d love to.” She smiled and looped her arms around his neck. Zac leaned in and slightly kissed her lips. Kari rested her head on his chest and swayed along with Zac. She loved feeling the locks of his blonde hair. Her and Zac were going to make this work. No matter what.

“Hey! that was only 5 Taylor! You rolled 6!” Katie shouted smacking his arm.
We were all sitting on the living room floor playing monopoly. Taylor, on the other hand was trying to cheat his way through. He was loosing so bad that he tried everything he could to sneak a couple extra bucks.
I was rolling on the floor. Have you ever laughed so hard it your
stomach hurt?! Well that’s how I felt. Everything Tay did made me bust out into a fit of giggles.
“Ab? Are you okay?!” Taylor asked looking at me weird.
“Yes.. hold on I can’t breath!” I tried to catch my breath. My whole
chest hurt.
“Well quit laughing and maybe you won’t have problems!” Katie said.
“Okay.. sorry. I’m done.” I said trying to be serious for a minute. I failed. There I went again. After a few minutes I was calm. The game finally came to a close after what seemed like forever. It was going on eight o’ clock.
“Do we have a movie or anything?” Katie asked walking into the
kitchen and setting her dishes in the sink.
We had stopped by this Mexican restaurant on the way over here and picked up some food. I reclaimed my usual spot on the couch and Tay sat beside me.
“Yeah. I picked up one before you guys got here.” Taylor pointed out
the video sitting on the counter for Katie to bring in.
That’s one thing that bugged me. Tay had everything right
around his apartment! Restaurants, movie stores, the mall...I could go
on. All he had to do was walk down two flights of stairs, and the strip was within walking distance. Ugh! jerk. Unlike me, having to hop in my car and drive all over. Anyways, It didn’t matter. I don’t know why I had thought of it. who cares, haha.

Soon we were all sitting in front of the TV. Taylor had rented some movie I had never heard of. He claimed it was ‘awesome’. I didn’t agree. I thought it was horrible. All it was about was fighting and people getting blown up. Katie was into those kind of movies but definitely not me. Most of the movie, I spent with my head buried in Taylor’s shoulder. After what seemed like forever, the movie was over! It was getting late so Katie and I decided to go.
“I need to pee real quick.” Katie said, jumping up and walking into the bedroom.
Taylor looked at me and smiled once he heard the bathroom door shut.
“Did you have fun tonight?” He asked.
“Yeah, I had a pretty good time, you?..” I asked.
“Not a bit.” He climbed over to my side of the couch and gave me a
quick kiss. I looked up at him and brought him in for another. “Now I
can say I at least had a second of fun.” He smiled.
The bathroom door open and we quickly parted. “Okay, so maybe
we could get together tomorrow night and study after I see Katie
off?...” I said to Taylor as if we were carrying on a conversation.
“Yeah that sounds good. I have some stuff I need help on anyway.”
Taylor went along with it.
“Ahh guys! I don’t want to go back!” Katie said walking into the room.
“I know.” I agreed. “When do you think your next visit can be?”
“Probably not for a couple more weeks. Maybe the end of next month.”
She said. “I really need to concentrate on work for a little while then when I’m completely settled in I’ll be back!”
“Well whenever you can get your ass down here again you do it.”
Taylor stood up. He walked over and gave her a small hug. “It was
great seeing you again Kate.”
“Yeah! defiantly. You too. Oh! and when you talk to Ike and Zac again
tell them I said hello.”
“Sure. No problem” Taylor accepted his small task.
“Katie, ya ready?” I said getting up and walking to the door and
opening it. Taylor winked at me from across the room and I gave him a quick mouthed kiss.
“Yeah. Bye Tay.”

Isaac walked into the library doors and went straight to the computers. He needed to locate exactly where he could find
information on terminal lung cancers and colonary infections. His professor was expecting essays on both subjects and the recommended dosing of medicine to help the pacient. Ike found the subjects rather interesting. Ever since he was young, Ike found an interest in stuff like this. Go figure ER was one of his favorite shows. The intense drama and
having your adrenaline pumping through your body a million miles an hour always made him feel good about himself. Like he was actually
doing something he loved, not to mention helped other people. Music
would always be a first in his life if he ever had to pick between the two. But right now, since life in the fast lane slowed down immensely, it’s not like he didn’t have the time or energy. He was open to everything.. and this just happen to be one of the doors that were open to him.
After surfing the net like his professor urged him to do he
printed out what he thought would be good reading material and jumped to the first available table he spotted. Ike started jotting down notes and basic points he needed.
“Done..” Ike said quietly to himself. He looked down at his watch. It read almost 6:45. He started gathering up his stuff, then stopped when he noticed the girl sitting across from him. She looked up at him and smiled.
“Oh, uh..hi. I didn’t think anyone else was at my table.” He whispered.
“Yeah.. I asked if it was okay that I sat here, but you seemed to not hear me... So I didn’t bother repeating myself. You looked pretty into what you were writing.” She laughed. The girl had jet black hair pulled into a low pony tail. Her small framed reading glassed set almost halfway down her nose.
“Oh, god.. I’m sorry.” Isaac apologized again. “I was taking notes for a test next week. Oh! I’m Isaac by the way.” He said extending his hand.
She excepted it with a nod.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Nora.” She said softly.
“Well I better get going. This place is closing pretty soon.”
Nora glanced at her watch. “Wow! Your right. I have to get going too.”
She stood and stuffed the books and papers she was working on into
her small book bag.
“Okay, well, I’ll catch you later.” Ike said.
“Yeah.. later.”
Ike turned and headed out the door. It was just getting dark. He
started down the sidewalk towards the dorms. Ike was quietly singing
the words to a song he had been working on the past couple days. He
wanted it to have a slower toon, but without the help of Tay he was
helpless. Taylor always knew what note sounded good with whatever
words. It was like magic. If you had a song all written out, he would have a sheet of music for it by morning!
“I’ve never heard that song before...” Said a voice from behind him. Ike swung around to see Nora walking only a few feet away. “...I like it.”
She said with a shy grin.
“Hey. didn’t think I’d see you again so soon.” Ike said slowing his pace so Nora could catch up.
“Haha. As if you were expecting to run into me again?” She asked shyly.
“Well.. I was just sayin..” Ike trailed off smiling.
“So what song were you singing? It sounded good.” Nora said seriously.
The two walked on.
She wasn’t the prettiest girl Ike had ever seen. She was more on the
nerdy side by the looks of it. Her small black glasses still hung low on her nose. She wore a pair of cargo pants with a loose flannel.
“Oh that?.. that was just a song I’m working on.” Ike said.
“Okay. Now I’m convinced you are who I thought you were.” Nora
stated matter of factly.
“Huh?” Ike was confused.
“Your Isaac Hanson... aren't you?”
