Mimulus 'Andean Nymph'

ht: 25cm, dwarf
fc: white to ivory blushed pink and speckled in pink or red in the throat.
lu: very compatible color unlike some of the orange or red cultivars. It takes wet soils in the UK.
or: found on an Andean pass near Vergara in Chile by an English collector in the 70's.
eval: a truly distinct and useful cultivar.
prop: it is sometimes sold in seed form

fc: bright crimson red

Mimulus x robertsii 'A.T. Johnson' (M. guttatus x M. nummularius)

ha: compact
fc: yellow with large red blotches but markings smaller than 'Viva' from photos we have obtained.
or: selected in Wales from the wild as a natural hybrid by A.T. Johnson about 1937.
ns: it was listed under M. guttatus for many years and appears under it in older references.

ns: the original German name is preferred but it may be translated for commercial listings.

Mimulus 'Royal Velvet'

ht: 20cm
fc: dark velvety brownish-red with a good yellow throat. It is about half of each color and very refined.
fc: rusty red spots appear.

or: seems to be listed mostly by German firms.

lc: grey green margined creamy white

fc: marked as with a tiger, usually in yellow and red shades.
ns: the name has no standing as a species.

fc: yellow with large dark red blotch on each petal and smaller spots in throat. One of the boldest patterns

or: presumed to be the RHS Wisley Gardens.

Mimulus 'Yellow Velvet'

ns: listed in the RHS Plant Finder 1997 and presumably a companion to 'Red Velvet' which is still sold.
