the Eastern Juvenile Report

"YOUR DAILY INFORMATION SOURCE FOR 2YO RACING & BREEDING"

Published by Handicapping Daily

On June 1, 1999 we begin publication of the Eastern Juvenile Report. We feel that a big void exists for comprehensive daily information on 2 year olds, particularly when dealing with freshman sires and young broodmares. the Eastern Juvenile Report will be available VIA fax or e-mail and includes information for handicappers, breeders and owners. Content included for each of these groups is noted below:

In some cases a columnist from the daily racing form includes a small amount of data in the margin next to the past performances. However, this primarily consists only of the trainer's and sire's percentage with first time starters. We will provide detailed pedigree analysis including the dam's produce record. In cases where there is a freshman sire or the runner is the dam's first foal, we will analyze the sire's potential based upon his pedigree, race record and the quality of mares to which he has been bred. In the case of the dam's first foal, we will provide information on her siblings. We will provide this information on straight maiden and maiden allowance races run in Kentucky, Florida and New York as well as selected stakes races run elsewhere. In 1997 we correctly selected the winners of every 2YO stake run at Saratoga and last year we identified Things Change as the best Eastern 2YO filly prior to her even breaking her maiden. Further, we hit all but 1 of the 2YO stakes run at Monmouth, including both on the grass.

Owners & Breeders

Because our evaluation of 2YO's and their relative talent has been and will continue to be extremely accurate, the information we provide will be useful in exploiting potentially weak races with your runners and, conversely, avoiding the potentially tough ones. When going to the auctions or considering the purchase of shares, you will know which young sires are truly performing above par. Simply looking at a weekly review of the winners does not accomplish this. Many times a young sire will have been bred to below par mares and have a large number of runners running well above expectations despite not getting a huge number of wins. Additionally, consider this scenario: There is a 5 year mare that is either running for a cheap claiming tag, you already own her or have the opportunity to purchase her and her 2YO 1/2 bother or sister places in or wins a stake or has demonstrated the potential to win one. Would you not want to know this information at the earliest possible time?

the Eastern Juvenile Report will be published every racing day that involves 2YO's in Kentucky, Florida and New York and every day after for a recap of the previous day. Subscriptions are offered on a monthly basis with the monthly subscription rate of $ 125. With an average of 25 issues per month, this amounts to $5 a day to know exactly what is going on with 2YO's, their sires and their dams as soon as it happens as well as have the in depth information necessary to properly handicap 2YO races.

Please note that we offer a FREE 1 WEEK TRIAL SUBSCRIPTION for you to evaluate this informative newsletter.
