James
My one and only
This was taken on New Years '02 ( obviously) at the club where he DJs.
James and I met early in 2000. He brought a young appaloosa filly to be trained at the farm where I was working. The next day she smashed her nose up on something and I had to call him up and let him know the vet was on his way and she required stitches, etc.
He was, of course, less than thrilled, but we managed the situation and tidied her up.
I went about my duties till dark, he hung around the barn, and we ended up chatting for several hours. He took me out to dinner at Roadhouse, and we've pretty much been together every day ever since :-)
We married on June 10th, 2000 and started our life and our family together.
I became a new mother to his 5 yr old daughter, Jazmine, and we all slowly adjusted to our new life.
We live in a sleepy little town in Georgia where everyone knows everyone and, of course, everyone knows your business, but that's ok I guess :-) After all, that's kind of like where I grew up back in the mountains.
Together we have 4 horses, 5 dogs, 3 cats, 5 goats (more on the way), 5 calves, chickens, and geese.
We love our extended family dearly, but I'm sure James would rather manage without the cats!
James has a passionate love of music, and has been a DJ since his teens. That is one area that we can both agree on usually. We both love various types of music and I love watching him mix and play when he's working.
He loves bow hunting, water skiing, riding, and computers. He's a true blue Mac man though, and don't ever try to convince him otherwise.
For all of the time we spend together, we never get tired of each other and I miss him most the nights when he's working at the club. If I don't lay up and wait for him, I'm usually awake at the exact moment when he's due home.
I love talking to my husband, but occasionally he drives me to insanity when I have to wait for hours while he chats with others!! It's a trait I've slowly become accustomed to, though I know my gift of gab will never come close to his!
We've had a lot of rough times and a lot of ups and downs, but we've managed, and, for the most part, come out of them stronger than ever before.
I love him more every day.
Finally, in October, 2001, we learned that we were expecting our first baby together. It was a shocking discovery, but the sweetest surprise of my life.
I had dreamed of it for a long time, but the reality was a whole new world.
There is no one I would rather share my life or this experience than with James.
He is my life and my world.
I love you.
