(Missing from the photo are brothers Tony and Enrique who were both deceased when this photo was taken.)

The Castellano family had a tradition of meeting monthly for a potluck dinner just for the Castellano brothers and sisters and their spouses.  They would meet at each other’s homes for dinner, just to keep in touch and to enjoy conversation.  This photo was taken at the “Brothers and Sisters Gathering” soon after losing their brother Enrique.

The entire Castellano family gathered together for many occasions throughout the year.  On the Fourth of July the family always gathered at Mary Maldonado’s home where the brothers & sisters, children, grandchildren & great-grand children enjoyed swimming, eating, talking and fireworks. At Christmas time the entire family gathered at Jesse Castellano’s home for dinner and for singing Christmas carols. Santa Claus always came to visit the small children.  The highlight of the evening was a "White Elephant" gift exchange.  In Ines Chavez's home the Castellano family have barbeques and celebrate birthdays.

We all have good memories of all the fun activities and gatherings shared with our large and close-knit family.
