Lucrin

Origin and action.

Lucrin has the same action as Synarel but is given as a subcutaneous injection.

Administration and dosage

Usually 0.1 ml of Lucrin is injected just under the skin each day using a small needle. The nurses can teach you or your husband how to administer Lucrin. As with Synarel, Lucrin is given in combination with gonadotrophin injections using either the "Flare-up" or the "Down-regulation" protocol.

Side effects

While using Lucrin you may experience headaches, mood changes and redness at the injection site. If the "Down-regulation" protocol is used you may also experience hot flushes but these will cease once gonadotrophin injections start.

Storage

Lucrin should be kept refrigerated.
