Grand Nagus Zek, is the current ruler of the Ferengi Alliance. Zek is a fair Nagus, but he is also strict. He follows the Rules of Acquisition faithfully, and punishes those who break them. Zek's secret partner in commerce since 2372 has been, Quark's mother, Ishka. It is because of Ishka and many like her that the traditional views of Ferengi females have been changed.
