6. Elections / new Council

1. Noted 10 nominations for 12 seats so 10 would be declared elected
2. New Council would have to co-opt 2
3. Clerk presented proposal to call informal and private meeting of new Council to discuss co-option and other arrangements – immediately before last meeting of present Council on 27-05-04. Agreed this be done
4. Clerk to endeavour to organise some broad training for new Council

7. Members’ items

1. Venue for meetings – In view of recent problems there had been dialogue between Clerk and Head Teacher of HC Primary School; IMM reported Governors would like Council to continue using school but charges need to be reviewed. Agreed Clerk should progress discussions subject to views of new members
2. Complaints – Clerk to deal with the following:

• Damaged nameplate – Ravenscroft
• Playing field footpath
• Bus shelter – London Rd / Station Rd
