[ [ What is the 7th Step? ] ]

This is the old explanation, circa 03.2000:

"Welcome to the 7th Step. This site is dedicated to Dance Dance Revolution (DDR), Guitar Freaks, and to me!! Actually, it's dedicated to all my friends and webmasters who have helped me create this site. As you can see, it's changed a lot. And before you leave, PLEASE SIGN MY GUESTBOOK!

What is the 7th Step? It stand for two things. Before 3/31/01, the logo for this site used to be 7 DDR steps, 1/8 beat. It was my favorite thing from DDR. A lot has changed though. As I become a better DDRer, a website designer, and more informed, my site undergoes the same change.

The second thing the 7th Step stands for is this page, a page dedicated to DDR and everything that has to do with it. I started this page because I know that there are some DDR pages out there that are made for a certain location. This page is for Chicago DDRers to find out where the gatherings are, but the information and everything is for EVERYONE!! So look around, check out my pic, tell me if I'm your type (girls only, please) and leave me a message in the guestbook, email, or the message board.

This page covers more than DDR. Guitar Freaks has become a main part of my site.

And next, the history of The 7th Step. The 7th Step was originally built using Notepad and hosted at Geocities. I spent long hours typin' out every html tag. That was Version 1.0, but it looked like shyt. So I took my site to the next level by building it with Frontpage Express (i don't got $200 to buy Frontpage 2000). It looked...OK I guess. With a 2nd ReMix version of my site, I felt really good. But it still looked really cheap. And it drove me to buy this 850mhz Athlon that I'm using now. So the 3rd Mix version of my site was built w/ Trellix. And I moved to Tripod for more space. Now THe 7th STeP is in its 4th Mix stage. Version 4.75 was a transition into Adobe Photoshop 5.5 and it started to look nice. Then I took some time off from my updates to build sites on AsianAvenue and Apartment107 for myself. Now I have more experience....and Frontpage 2000!! Woohoo!! Welcome to the 7th Step Version 5.0!

Are you ready?"

As stupid as it sounds, that's exactly what it is. I started this site after I played DDR in Las Vegas in August 1999. Then Chicago got some DDR machines and my site was the only Chicago DDR site around. Over the years, the DDR scene has changed tremedously. There's so much that other sites offer. I don't have videos, pictures, event coverage, etc. This is just a personal DDR site and always will be. And don't think that this site is only for Chicago DDRers, it's for everyone (just check the profiles, there's probably more Cali profiles than any other section). Take a look around, check out the message board, buy something you want from my affiliates....and come back sometime.

Version 6.0 initiated. Again, are you ready?
