A decade or two ago it was rare to meet a horse that had reached it's 20th birthday.  Today it's not uncommon to meet horses that have reached their 30th, 35th or very rarely  their 40th birthday. I thought it would be fun to keep a photo journal of these survivors.  These warriors have defied the odds and are  living testimony to the potential ruggedness of the species.  The following photos were snapped from 11/17/2011 to 11/19/2012.
