Since the destruction caused in The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Fantasy, Hyrule has had much time to repair. Link has stopped wandering and decided to stay in Hyrule and fix what Ganon destroyed. So, in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, a cleaner, more civilized Hyrule can be found with many towns advancing the studies of medicine and magic. North Hyrule is the focus in this game with its many great palaces, many islands, and varied terrain. There are many forests, multiple swamps, endless deserts, serpentine mountains, and several islands to explore in addition to mainland Hyrule.
