Somebody asked me how ICQ Help 101 came about, so I thought I'd share. ICQ Help 101 started a number of years ago after my friends started asking me numerous questions about ICQ. Even in those days, the turn around time on the ICQ site itself was about a month, and people needed answers faster, so I gave them.
From that I created my site. It took a few years but ICQ finally listed the site as you see it today under their User to User Help sites. I can remember the day I realized they had me listed. The hits on my website had about tripled, and I couldn't figure out why. As I usually do I checked out the ICQ site and saw my site listed at the top of the User to Users Help page. Then I proceeded to find it on a few other pages (to my surprise). It was a very exciting moment. :)) I had arrived as an ICQ Volunteer!! LOL From there my website took off and I've never looked back.
I've done some upgrading and I update regularly, maybe that's one of the reasons the site stays popular. So the site is as you see it today.
I do hope you enjoy the site and find it helpful. As long as I'm needed I'll be here to answer questions and solve problems. Thank you to all of the people that have helped me by answering questions on the message boards. Without that help, this site wouldn't function quite as smoothly as it does! And of course, thanks to all of you for visiting and keeping this site popular. I wouldn't have anything to do if it weren't for you. Thanks for reading!
