'Virtual' Calvary
Lourdes, France

Calvary Walk Entrance

Throughout the year, and not only during Lent, let us take time to reflect and meditate on the Passion of Jesus, and the sufferings of His Mother.  Let us allow;

  • the love with which Christ manifested himself, to touch our sufferings and change them into love.

  • ourselves to approach Jesus in the same trust with which he had in his Passion.   Therefore, let it transform our lack of trust into new hope.

  • the unity of Jesus and His Mother in their sufferings at Calvary, heal all our wounds and divisions.

  • Jesus to forgive our offenses especially for at the moment of our death as he did so at the moment of His death on the cross.

  • not the bitterness experienced by Jesus be in vain -- rather we should open ourselves to transform our bitterness into joy, the joy in fulfilling the Father's will in our lives.

  • the death of Our King on the cross transform our death [to sin] into the new life of the resurrection.

  • the fidelity demonstrated by His Mother in her sufferings as she walked with Jesus, heal us of our infidelity.

  • the courage of Jesus free us from our timidity.  Let us be courageous witnesses of our faith -- ready to give our lives to testify to the truth.

And always while meditating on the Passion of Christ and the suffering of Mary, let us remember the meeting between the human and the divine -- and, the glorification of the divine in the renewal of the human.

We hope you enjoy this 'Virtual' Tour of Calvary!
