Our mission at the Krannert Graduate School of Management is to prepare you becoming a leader in the "new management environment" -- one that is characterized by teamwork and alliances, continuous changes in technologies, globalization, and networks which are in instantaneous communication with each other. We believe future managers must be grounded in a rigorous analytical foundation for problem solving, broad and forward-looking perspectives for creating new solutions, skills for taking visions into actions, and values of accountability and citizenship for achieving results in the context of the larger environment. Your journey here will give you valuable and marketable experiences and equip you to create new landscapes for the 21st century.
Dennis J. Weidenaar, Dean Krannert Graduate School of Management, Purdue University

管理)(Management)和人力資源管理(MS in Human Resources Management)則和其MS in 他的B-Top 20 Schools相同,修業兩年。

在加開的選修中,有一些十分創新的課程:Tools for TQM、Enterprise Integration、Manufactur- ing Strategy、Teams & Teamwork、與Cross-functional Teams。

My second year in the program was the first year of Krannert's transition, which included a change to eight-week modules, Friday forum days, and additional emphasis on teams and leadership. The workload in the second year was much more reasonable and integrated across the courses. The number of electives increased, and responsiveness of the faculty and administration to concerns became outstanding. This is a plus for a smaller program, particularly when all parties involved are working toward the same goals of excellence and improvement.

Although I consider my MBA invaluable for my professional development, I was disappointed by the lack of multicultural awareness of my classmates. Probably because of the location of my school in the Midwest, most of the people with whom I interacted had scarce or no knowledge of other country's cultures. Most of the opinions they hold are based on stereotypes and prejudice. In my opinion, this is unjustifiable in 1994.

Many of the best faculty and best students in the program are in the finance department. It is only a matter of time before the corporate world takes more notice. The recent changes in the program are the example of the responsiveness of the administration to both market demand and student requests.

I went to Purdue for its program in operations management. I wanted a dual degree in an engineering discipline and an MBA. Although not available, Krannert pursued and implemented a manufacturing management option. The school also changed from 16-week to 8-week sessions to allow more diversity and flexibility in academic programs.

One-third of all second-year students attended school for free as they receive a quarter-time assistantship. About 65 - 70 percent of all students receive substantial financial assistance during the two years. It is an unusually good thing for MBA students.
