"JAG" is an action/drama series, created by Donald P. Bellisario, who was also the creator of "Magnum, PI," "Tales of the Gold Monkey," "Airwolf," and "Quantum Leap."
"JAG" is about the United States Navy's Judge Advocate General Corps, which investigates, prosecutes, and defends the law of the sea. The show's hero is Commander Harmon Rabb(portrayed by David James Elliot), a former naval aviator who became a lawyer after crashing his F-14 Tomcat on a storm tossed carrier and being misdiagnosed with night blindness.
Working with Harm at JAG are Lieutenant Colonel Sarah MacKenzie(Catherine Bell), a feisty Marine Corps lawyer, and Lieutenant Bud Roberts(Patrick Labyorteaux), a young lawyer with a big brain and a bigger heart. They report to Rear Admiral A.J.Chegwidden(John M. Jackson), a decorated Navy SEAL turned lawyer who is hard but fair, and will back his people up no matter what.
Also mainstays of the show are Lieutenant Harriet Sims-Roberts(Karri Turner), Bud's wife; Gunnery Sergeant Victor Galindez(Randy Vasquez), the office manager of JAG and former sherriff's deputy; PO1 Jason Tiner(Chuck Carrington), Admiral Chegwidden's yeoman; Commander Sturgis Turner(Scott Lawrence), former submariner turned JAG lawyer, and Clayton Webb(Steven Culp), CIA operative.
"JAG" airs on CBS at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday nights. If you want action, drama, comedy, and tenderness, this is an excellent show.
