Joe:

It is an honor to award both the 18th and 28th Louisiana Infantry regiment Civil War Web Sites with the Military Division of the Mississippi Web Site Award for excellence in design an content.

Joe, being a fellow web master for Civil War sites, I realize that your dedication to the 18th and 28th sites is not for money or fame, but really to pass on to others the heritage of our chosen regiments, of which you and I are so very proud.

I am certain that you personal reward lies in those rare moments when you establish contact with an unknown descendant that has yet another "tidbit" to add to the history of the regiments, or when a school child emails you to let you know that they are using your site historical detail to report to their class about their new found pride in their heritage.

A tip of my kepi to you, Joe and to the 18th and 28th Louisiana. May the Confederate battle flag of Loiusiana always fly in a sunlit breeze. Plese find attached to this email, the Military Division of the Mississippi Award which you may place on both web sites. This evening I will add the names of the 18th and 28th Louisiana to our "Roll of Honor".
